State of Decay 2

State of Decay 2 is an upcoming survival video game developed by Undead Labs and published by Microsoft Studios. It is a sequel to the 2013 video game State of Decay and the game is scheduled to be released on May 22nd for Windows and Xbox One.

In State of Decay 2, your base is more than just a place for your survivors to sleep at night. It’s also your sanctuary, offering protection against the hungry dead lurking beyond the wall. So it’s your command post, where you plan the perfect zombie-killing strategies. And, most of all, it’s a manifestation of your personal long-term survival strategies as you customize it with your ideal facilities and improvements. Will you therefore build a watch tower or plant a garden? An infirmary or a workshop? And how will you choose to carve out a small slice of civilisation from the chaotic apocalypse?

You can find out some more information on the game and order at https://www.stateofdecay.com/.  You can also watch a developer interview at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eg0fZoB-dzQ. Enjoy!

Our Training Manager writes with games news….

Recent trends in gaming have seen a rise in battle royal games taking the spotlight; from PUBG to Fortnite, with both companies going on to successfully develop mobile applications that are stable and able to be played on-the-go. The genre has proven so popular that PUBG have recently announced their first major (eSports) Spring Invitational in Berlin with a $2m prize pool, Riot Games have recently partnered with University of California and Berkeley to offer eSports partnership & scholarships and the University of Ohio announced its now offering scholarships to exceptional Fortnite players… Is it any wonder that Fortnite’s most recent professional is a 13-year-old boy from Kent named Kyle Jackson? ESports is everywhere; there are even talks that the Paris 2024 Olympics organisers could bring eSports into the fold as an Olympic sport.
