Game of The Month – Darksiders III

Darksiders III is an upcoming hack and slash action-adventure video game being developed by American studio Gunfire Games and will be published by THQ Nordic. It is a sequel to Darksiders II and the third entry in Darksiders series. The game is scheduled for release on November 27th 2018 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The game takes parallel to the events of the previous games in what is described as a dilapidated, war-torn planet Earth. It follows the protagonist Fury, rider of the Black Horse, sister Horseman of the Apocalypse, and one of the last of the Nephilim, in her quest to hunt down and destroy the Seven Deadly Sins, as ordered by the Charred Council. The game will feature a levelling system and a crafting system and according to the developer, the threads of the games world will grow stronger as the player progresses through the story, matching Fury’s’ power every time a deadly sin is defeated.

You can find out some more information on the game and order at You can also watch an interview with Reinhard Pollice (Executive Producer) as he discusses the game in more detail at Enjoy!

What’s the deal with Brexit?

Brexit. Just the word has been enough to dissuade candidates away from jobs in the UK, but there’s finally some good news for us in regards the games industry and staffing.

The recent 585-page draft proposal includes little changes to the state of foreign labour until the end of December 2020, where transitioning between the UK and the EU will remain unchanged, but by 2021 every foreign worker in the UK will need a residence document. The draft also states that arrangements will be made for temporary entry for business purposes and visa-free short term visits (like for interview).

So, for any of those fortunate enough to be fielding Brexit questions from potential hires; at the moment nothing is going to change until 2021. A promise of simplified applications forms for residence is underway and visas won’t be affected in any way just yet.

Obviously this is still a draft proposal so watch this space for an update early next year.
