Jono’s Corner
In my opinion games are an artform with no rival, the possibilities of exploration and experience are unmatched by any other medium. Nothing can absorb you like a brilliant game. Sometimes, however, you just want to slip into your pyjamas, slouch over the sofa and bang on a film. I asked the guys this month to choose a film they would love to see turned into a game!
Adam: The Thing – a horror survival FPS with a lonely, desolate Antarctic setting.
Anita: District 9 – You play as a hunter and you have to hunt and kill all the aliens. Sorry for the aliens, byeeee!
Daria: Fight Club – Because Brad Pitt.
David: Twister – Chasing tornados, being chased by tornados and trying to have a thriving business in the cut-throat industry that is storm chasing. Not only is it a unique ‘spin’ on survival horror game, you’re also given challenging objectives to complete. One life, no respawn.
Jonathan: Gladiator – I’d have my protagonist level up and fight through the ranks in an emotional, fierce journey to freedom.
Kane: Fast and Furious – Need 4 Speed meets GTA!
Lucas: Big Trouble in Little China – There are no limitations to what that game could be, especially on next-gen consoles. Everything would be bat sh*t crazy!
Stefan: Highlander – It would be an online PvP-style 3rd person action game. I’d love to see it become an eSport title.
Yasmine: The Addams Family – It would be based on the original film, a story-driven dark and funny experience.
