Development Director – North Europe, Relocation

We’re on the hunt for a Development Director to join our team a fresh project at a very exciting studio!

Your Role:

As a Development Director, you’ll be the glue holding together gameplay, creative and development. You’ll work with our team and stakeholders to take the game from production to live. Your mission is to craft and follow a realistic plan that meets our goals and fits our team’s capabilities.

What You’ll Do:

Production Scheduling: Collaborate with Producers to create and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are clear and met.

Risk Management: Regularly assess and identify potential risks to the timeline, quality, or budget, and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Leadership: Know when to lead and when to step back, empowering your team to take the reins while fostering respect for team autonomy.

Cross-Disciplinary Insight: Keep a broad understanding of each discipline’s challenges and contributions, covering creative work, blockchain development, infrastructure tech, and gameplay.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key contact between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring transparent updates on project status and milestones.

Team Coaching: Support and manage the Production team’s growth, and optimize processes and workflows for success.

About You:

  • Many years in game production, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Broad experience in various aspects of game development.
  • Interest in blockchain and tech in general.
  • Avid gamer with deep industry knowledge.
  • Skilled in leadership, empathy, and teamwork.
  • Excited about living in the Nordics and working on groundbreaking projects.
