Our client is a veteran of video games publisher, they are very well known by the big titles produced between 1980 and even this year 2022. Their games have very high visual quality and polished look, you are not going to confuse their AAA project with anything else. They are currently working on the development of next generation game. As Lead Animation Programmer you will work in an existing Game Engine, developing and integrating advanced animation techniques to put up together the required technologies leading to the advanced rendering of high-end Characters. This will be a winning opportunity for a professional who has an individual and unique style and desire to get confronted with numerous technologies, including real-time cloth deformations, hair simulation, bulge free dual quaternion skinning, helper bones skinning, facial animation, full body IK, dynamic topology, muscle simulation, content creation pipelines and exporters, as well as never used before techniques

Role details

  • Work closely with the team on research and development of computer animation solutions
  • Support other team members or programmers and mentor juniors
  • Create high-level design of new animation modules by applying the latest technologies
  • Complete and design multiplatform code for Memory and Performance efficiency
  • Cross-team communication with design efficient pipelines and workflows

Requirements

  • Full proficiency in C++, Animation techniques, math, and debugging
  • Experienced working with Facial Animation Techniques as well as full body IK and helper-bones driven body animation
  • Deep understanding of DCC Tools and Exporters
  • Proficiency in animation asset pipelines
  • Previous experience in parallel processing (ie. multithreading) and optimization techniques; GPGPU knowledge is a plus
  • Strong English is a must
