The key responsibilities of this role include staying updated on player trends, supervising Game Designers, ensuring innovative gameplay, creating characters and stories for games, managing creative ideation, documenting game design details, reviewing game features for quality, playing game updates for feedback, collaborating with team members, training junior designers, promoting a game developer mindset, and communicating with the Design Director to manage production tasks effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Mobile and Free-to-Play (F2P) gaming, demonstrated through the successful launch of multiple titles.
- More than 6 years of experience in game design, showcasing a deep understanding of the industry, market trends, and target audiences.
- Strong grasp of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the ability to shape game design strategies around them.
- Proven expertise in prototyping and releasing games using Unity or Unreal gaming engines, along with a comprehensive understanding of their limitations.
- Extensive knowledge of Game Design principles and a thorough understanding of the gaming landscape.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to create clear and concise documentation, articulate complex ideas effectively, and provide positive and constructive feedback during briefings, reviews, discussions, and problem-solving sessions.
- Meticulous attention to detail, encompassing both technical and artistic aspects of game design.
- Proficiency in Excel or any scripting language, enabling the maintenance of game design configurations.
- Strong proactive problem-solving abilities and intuitive development skills, emphasizing a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Leadership qualities that foster team collaboration, encouraging a cohesive and productive working environment.
- Passion for gaming, coupled with a keen eye for intricate details.
- Quick and enthusiastic learner, adaptable to new concepts and technologies.
