My Client, a beloved games studio with a strong reputation built up over many strong AAA titles, is looking to add an experienced Lead UX Researcher to their team to spearhead the direction of the UX Research operations and projects of the company, as well as lead and manage a UX team.

You will collaborate closely with the Lead Data Scientist to ensure UX research and data analytics work hand in hand.

The role:

– Evangelise data-driven approaches to the development teams and promote the use of UX Research.

– Plan, coordinate and organize the UX Research operations and projects across the company

– Conduct experiments designed to assess players’ experience of a wider range of AAA video games from all genres

– Design experiments aimed at answering questions from different game development teams and editorial teams around the world, using scientific methods (surveys, interviews, eyetracking, …)

– Develop and adapt new methods to improve playtesting processes

– Collaborate closely with analytics team members in combining quantitative and qualitative research findings


– University degree (BSc, MSc) in psychology-related or video-games related program (psychology, human computer interface, game design, …)

– Multiple years of experience working in the video games or comparable industry

– Experience in leading teams

– Scientific curiosity and drive to get deep insights into problems

– Multiple years of experience with conducting experiments and communicating the results

– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

– Very good English skills (written and spoken). German skills a plus

– Ideally passion for video games

– Experience with statistics and statistical programming in R

Remote (from UK, Germany, Spain, Italy or France) – Must have the right to work in the location.

Salary up to €60k
