Marketing and Communications Manager

My client, a creative games development studio located in the Netherlands, with around 15 years of experience, known for taking on technically demanding projects and providing supporting teams for AAA publishers, delivering over 200 SKU’s across 60 games, is currently looking for a passionate individual to take on new challenges and lead the Marketing & Communications efforts.

As the new Marketing & Communications Manager, you will be ensuring that the studio message is conveyed to the games industry all over the world, without neglecting the need to keep the core business, working together with some of the world’s leading game publishers on their IP, growing and thriving.

You will be responsible for managing the PR, Social Media Marketing, and Community efforts, and be the key stakeholder for the global communications strategy, externally and internally.

The role:

– Oversee the entire marketing cycle of the release of our future IP across all platforms and worldwide.

– Responsible for all aspects of our company marketing and communications and work closely with Business Development.

– Lead market research, product analysis, messaging, content development, competitive intelligence, promotional plans, budgeting, and external communication strategies for our games.

– Be hands-on with external communications management, monitor execution, and evaluate the efficiency of campaigns working closely with a PR agency.

– Define the direction and oversee the creation of creative assets such as copy, trailers, key art, merchandise, and more.

– Define the strategy for user acquisition, funnel and landing page optimisation, and monitor execution.

You:

– 4+ years of experience in marketing within the video games industry.

– Bachelor’s in marketing (or relevant qualification), or 8+ years of experience in the field.

– Data-driven approach

– Good knowledge of the games industry and what players want.

– Fluent in English. Skills in other European languages is a plus.

Location: Eindhoven – Netherland, or remote from Europe
