We are multi award winning and have been trading successfully for over 30 years. We are fortunate in having a strong brand and clients come to us. So there is less telesales activity than with most recruitment companies. Our business development is therefore focussed on conferences, networking and client visits.
We aim to gain a competitive advantage by intelligent work, new systems and ideas. Our consultants tend to be bright and often have good university degrees. So we try to play to their strengths and give them opportunities to experiment rather than micro-manage.
This can be in several directions – mainly through a people management route or through an industry specialist route. Either way, remuneration will be good. Also, the balance between basic salary and commission will be tipped heavily in favour of a higher basic once the consultant has proved his or her ability and consistency.
For new recruits we aim to pay slightly above market rates for basic salary plus a more generous commission structure than that of our competitors. One of the ways we achieve this is by offering you additional “account management” commission which is paid on other consultants’ placements made with a client which you are managing. This is extra commission rather than split commission and is unusual for the industry. We also offer monthly target bonuses, company profit share, two share participation schemes and 31 days holiday rising to 33 after four years (including bank holidays).

Training is now top of the agenda at Datascope. We provide on-site training on recruitment, business development and systems. Our in-house training manager and our visiting consultant are phenomenal and dedicated and offer bespoke training to suit the individual’s requirements.
These are developed in-house and, we believe, are innovative and give us a competitive edge particularly with regard to data mining.
We are in Regent Street on the edge of Soho. The area is fantastic for bars, street food, independent restaurants and bistros. Fortnum and Masons, St James and Jermyn Street shops are nearby. We are in the heart of the West End. There are lots of distractions!
